Principal Corner
I recently read a devotion that talked about Adam and Eve in the garden when they were being tempted by the devil. It stated if Adam and Eve had looked at all that God had blessed them with in the garden instead of letting the devil tell them what they were missing, they could have looked around and told the devil, we do not need to eat that fruit, look at all that we have here. Adam and Eve did not have an attitude of gratitude for all that they had. I see that in my own life at times. Instead of looking at how blessed I have been and how God has taken care of me, I sometimes focus on what I do not have. God has blessed us all with different talents and abilities. He has made each one of us unique and he has a purpose for us that is different from everyone else. As we gather with family and friends this Christmas season, and enjoy food, fellowship, and exchange gifts, let us first focus on the gift of Jesus which gives us eternal salvation. The gift that was sent for each one of us so that we one day will be in heaven. Then let us look at the gifts God has blessed us with in our current life. The gift of those around us, the food we share, the fun we have, the gifts he has given us and will continue to give us. Merry Christmas, from a fellow sinner, who realizes the need for God’s Grace and Mercy each and every day, and rejoices that God sent His Son for me.
Classroom Geography Bees will take place this week. The top two students in each grade will then compete at the end of January in an All School Geography Bee. This used to be done by a National Geographic Society and our students had a chance to compete in a National Geography but this was permanently cancelled as on March 2023 but we love to continue the tradition at Trinity.

Clothing for Cold Weather
What to wear when the weather turns cold? Here are the guidelines we use to determine what the students should wear outside. Be advised that we are very firm on these rules, so please make sure that your child has the appropriate clothing that is needed.
Below 55, they need long sleeves.
Below 50, they need a sweatshirt or jacket.
Below 45, they need a winter coat, head covering (hat, headband or earmuffs, NOT just a hood), and gloves or mittens. If they do not have the correct type of coat, or head covering, they will need to borrow from someone else, or use something from the Lost and Found. We do not have kids stay inside unless they are sick.
To play in the snow, they must also have snow pants and boots. They will need to stand on the sidewalk if they do not have either of these items.
If it is muddy outside, we will require the students to wear boots, even if there is no snow. This is to make sure we don’t track a lot of dirt into the classrooms.
SLEDS that are soft/foam or roll up may be brought and left at school.
EVERYONE should have a pair of tennis shoes that stays at school for gym class and if they forget their shoes.
