Principal Corner

For those of you that have been praying for my daughter-in-law, thank you. I am happy to announce that she was able to come home this past Friday. After 34 days in the hospital and rehabilitation, their family was all together back in their house. On Sunday morning, my son called and asked if one of us could come over and watch our grandson, while he helped his wife get up and get ready for the day. We are fortunate to live near all of our grandchildren and will gladly help with them whenever we are asked. So, Eugenia headed over while I walked the dog, and then got ready for church. When Eugenia had not returned, I headed over to see if I could be of any help. My son was outside moving the car so it would be easier to get his wife from the wheelchair into the car so they could go to church as a family. It is good for us to gather as the family of God in God’s house on a regular basis. It is easy to make excuses of why we do not want to go to church. The service is going to be too long, I need my sleep, my kids have sports, we have had a busy weekend and I need “me” time, I have a hard time listening to the sermon. When Jesus was in the garden, he did not make any excuses for not dying on the cross for our sins. He willingly followed his father’s will. We should also willingly follow our father’s will to gather together as the people of God, to praise and worship our creator and savior. To sing praises to him, offer our prayers and listen to God’s word.

Project Complete

A GIANT thank you to Simply Saved Thrift Store for the funds to help make our school a little bit safer. A Knox Box was installed and is officially in use!

What is a Knox Box?
A Knox Box is a secure metal container that is used for storing keys and important documents. It is commonly used in commercial buildings, schools, and other public facilities. The purpose of having a Knox Box on the premises is to provide emergency response personnel with quick and easy access to the building during an emergency situation.
How Does a Knox Box Work?
A Knox Box is typically mounted on the exterior wall of a building, near the main entrance. It is secured with a tamper-resistant lock, which can only be opened by authorized individuals. Inside the Knox Box, keys to the building are stored. These keys are specifically designated for emergency responders, such as firefighters or paramedics.
To gain access to the Knox Box, emergency responders must have the appropriate key or code. Once opened, they can retrieve the necessary keys to quickly enter the building without causing any damage. This is especially crucial during emergencies when time is of the essence, such as during a fire or medical incident.
Benefits of Using a Knox Box
There are several benefits to using a Knox Box:
1. Faster Response Time: By having a Knox Box, emergency personnel can quickly access a building without delay. This enables them to respond swiftly and efficiently to emergencies, potentially saving lives and minimizing property damage.
2. Reduced Property Damage: In the absence of a Knox Box, emergency responders may be forced to break windows or doors to gain access to a building. By utilizing a Knox Box, the need for forced entry is eliminated, resulting in less damage to the property.
3. Enhanced Security: The Knox Box is designed to be secure and tamper-resistant. Only authorized personnel can access its contents, ensuring that keys and sensitive documents are safeguarded.
4. Easy Key Management: With a Knox Box, keys are conveniently stored in a central location. This makes it easier for emergency responders to locate the necessary keys and gain access to the building quickly.
5. Versatility: Knox Boxes can be customized to meet the specific needs of different buildings or facilities. They come in various sizes, allowing for the storage of multiple keys or other important documents.

A Knox Box is a valuable asset for any organization or facility concerned with emergency preparedness. Its ability to provide quick and secure access to a building during emergencies greatly enhances the safety and security of both occupants and emergency responders. By using a Knox Box, response times improve, property damage is minimized, and overall emergency management is significantly improved.

TLS wants to thank Simply Saved Thrift Store (Irene Mulcahey) , Sheriff Dulas, Lane Hartfiel & Wade Stockman for working so hard to get this accomplished!
