Principal Corner
Sunday afternoon we had been at a gathering with some cousins and got home later in the afternoon. We were in our house taking care of a few things and our daughter went outside to get something from the car. I had commented a few minutes earlier how the sun had come out so bright after being cloudy and looking like rain. She came back in and called us to come out and look at the rainbow, and that it was a double. I came out a little while after my wife, and I could not believe how vibrant the colors of the rainbow where and it was a complete rainbow from one end to the other. As we stood there the second rainbow started to fade and then the main rainbow slowly disappeared. We may have missed the rainbow if our daughter had not gone outside and told us about it. Many people never saw the rainbow on Sunday evening. The rainbow is the promise that God will never completely flood the earth again. Seeing it always reminds me of all the promises God has given us in His word, the bible. God gives us many blessings in our lives and sometimes we are just too busy to take time and appreciate them, or even recognize at the time that it is a blessing from God. We can rest assured that God keeps all his promises. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. This is a promise to keep in our hearts and to tell all who we meet. We do not want them to miss out on God’s promise.
